Yasa Georgia is significantly expanding the scale and profile of its activities in the Tbilisi Free Zone (TFZ), marking a major step forward for the Georgian aviation industry. The company is moving into a new 1300 m² industrial facility to meet the growing demands of customers in the US and Germany.
While the company previously focused primarily on aluminum components for aircraft seats, the new project involves manufacturing parts of much higher complexity and critical importance.
What Does the New Project Include?
As part of the expansion, Yasa Georgia is launching a partnership with a German industrial corporation and global aviation giants. The company’s portfolio is adding high-tech products such as:
- Production of primary flight control components for the Boeing 737 MAX;
- Manufacturing of actuation components for the Airbus A320;
- Delivery of main and tail rotor actuation components for Airbus Helicopters 135/145;
- Assembly and manufacturing of high-volume hydraulic valves for a German industrial corporation.
Technological Leap and Quality Standards
This expansion is not just about space; it represents a significant leap in Part Criticality & Complexity. Aviation component manufacturing requires the highest precision, for which Yasa Georgia is adding a new production line:
- New 4- & 5-axis CNC machine tools;
- Electro-discharge machining (EDM) equipment;
- Non-destructive testing (NDT) laboratory, specifically fluorescent penetrant inspection.
